Fixing A Microsoft Wireless Mouse

Microsoft’s wireless mouse is a useful gadget as which offers freedom of use without tugging cables or cords to it. It will enhance the ease of any work using the mouse and as long as the mouse and receiver are working properly, you will find it very efficient.
However, this device is also not entirely free of troubles. Sometimes its scrolling function may come to halt or may become very slow. This will be because of multiple reasons and you will require immediate help. Before going for advanced support from Microsoft help pages, you can try the following tips to resolve this issue.

Steps to follow

First, you have to place the wireless mouse near its receiver. Sometimes distance may hinder the proper signal reception. You should move away any other wireless devices like keyboards at least 6 feet away from the receiver.
Then resynchronize the mouse with the receiver. There is a button at the top of the receiver and you have to press it down, wait for the light to blink. You have to follow any instructions that may appear on your computer’s screen.
Now you have to turn the mouse over and press down the small button beneath. If you cannot see a solid green light on the receiver, press the button on the receiver as well as that on  the mouse again.
Try unplugging the receiver’s USB cord from any USB hubs to which it is connected to and you should plug it directly into one of the USB ports of the computer. Alternatively, you have to plug the USB cord into a different port if you are not using a USB hub.
Sometimes a weak battery can make the mouse troublesome. You have to slide off the top cover on the mouse and remove the batteries. You need to place new batteries in the mouse and slide the cover back again.
It is better to keep any kind of wireless transmitting devices like cellular phones, away from the mouse’s receiver. In addition, you have to ensure that you are not using the wireless mouse or receiver on a metal surface since this will cause interference with the signal.
